About Me
I’m Lorena, a writer–director from Liechtenstein, now based in Berlin. I started my creative journey at the Kunstschule Liechtenstein, completing the "Gestalterischer Vorkurs". A year that grounded me in visual art. This is where I found my fascination with character driven world building. My art has always been about stories, even when the story itself wasn't the art. Currently, I'm deepening my voice as a storyteller at Catalyst institute for Creative Arts in Berlin where I am in my last semester of my BA in Film Production.
My work blossom out of real life experiences, even through the outcome grows beyond that. I love telling stories, that have surrealistic and fantastic elements but still center around a real and raw core: the human psyche. Exploring pain, trauma, love - feelings, on a realistic but also metaphorical level. This mix of the grounded and the unreal is where I feel most at home — a space where emotional truth becomes visible through the cracks in reality.
Also in editing, I put the feelings first. I love projects that feel nostalgic and to carefully select images in order to bring the viewer closer to the feeling.
